Research Projects

I attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as an undergraduate transfer student from 2018-2020. I received my bachelors degree in Sociology with a minor in Chicana/o and Central American Studies.

During my time at UCLA, I emerged myself in Psychology research laboratories as a research assistant. Additionally, I completed three research projects and presented them at local and international research conferences.

Using secondary data analysis, my research projects examined racial stressors, culturally relevant practices, and community violence, on the psychological health, academic success, and well-being of Latinx and Black youth. This work was inspired by personal experiences and the overwhelming mental health and academic racial disparities among youth of color.
